Herding and working livestock is not a trick to be learned or a task the dog wants to please you by doing. The herding instinct was bred into certain dogs and so for a working dog, herding is fulfilling the purpose it was born to do! Allowing the opportunity for a working dog to work is one of the great joys you will share with your dog.
